Committees

These are the committees defined within American Pediatric Surgery Managers Association (APSMA). Click the view members link or the committee name to see a list of committee members. The Executive Board shall consist of eight (8) members. The President, President Elect, Immediate Past President, Treasurer, Secretary, two (2) Members at Large, and the Meeting Planner. The Officers of the Association shall be a President, a President Elect, an Immediate Past President, a Treasurer, a Secretary and two Members at Large all of whom shall be ex-officio, voting members of the Executive Board. With the exception of the President and Immediate Past President, Officers shall be elected by a plurality of the votes entitled to be cast by the active members of the organization. The President Elect shall automatically succeed to the office of President at the end of the term as President Elect and the President shall automatically succeed to the office of Immediate Past President at the end of the term as President. Officers shall assume office at the conclusion of the annual meeting following their election and shall serve until their successors take office. Association members possessing the right to vote shall be eligible to serve as Officers. With the exception of President and President Elect, Officers shall be eligible for re-election.
Advisory Council
The Advisory Council shall consist of the three (3) most recent Immediate Past Presidents not serving on the Executive Board. It shall be the function of the Advisory Council to serve in an advisory capacity to the Executive Board.
Duty is to attract, recruit and retain membership in the Association and to provide membership services as directed by the Executive Board. The Membership Committee shall be comprised of at least two (2) members of the Association. The Membership Committee shall provide all members with membership materials and updates as appropriate. The Membership Committee shall review and submit all applications for membership to the Executive Board for approval along with the committee’s recommendations regarding membership status.
Program Committee
Duty is to make all arrangements for the regular membership meeting and educational program of the Association as directed by the Executive Board. The Program Committee shall be comprised of at least three (3) members of the Association.
Education Committee
Communication Committee
